If its not one thing.... its always another
Its a bit off topic but... i havent been feelin well lately. I am stubborn and i knew something was not right and put myself on the back burner yet again. I have been going to bed early which is not like me. I woke up at 11 last night crying in pain. Well i wound up spending the night in the ER. I found out that i have kidney stones.. in both kidneys... ughh and to top it off i have a bladder infection due to the stones... can you say pain!!! It totally sucks.. and to top it off im having some issues at my job and this just hit at the right time. At this point i cant worry bout my job i need to take care of myself. Just a word of advice... if you know something is not right with your body.....do not blow it off... take care of it immediately!!! My hub is a doll he was up with me all night and then came home, showered and headed to work... i feel so bad.... he is so good to me..... anyways .. im back off to bed.... pain meds are startin to kick in.......
I am sorry to hear about your kidneys and your bladder, but some advice from one who has been in your shoes. Drink lots of water!!! I am sure there are some other factors that might have contributed to the stones, but when you take in a lot of protein, kidney and bladder trouble will follow if you don't have plenty of water to balance it out. I am soooo not a Doctor in any way shape or form, but know that post WLS you need lots of water to keep those kidneys clearing out the toxins. DRINK DRINK DRINK DRINK! My Doc says that your urine should be a very pale yellow and if it is any darker then you need to up your water intake or you'll have problems down the road.
I had kidney stones several years back and know your pain doll....that pain is NO BUENO....I am even willing to say it was worse than child bearing, and that was painful!!!

Christine, so sorry to hear about your kidney stones and bladder infection. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. What did the doc say he was going to do about them? Hubby has them all the time and he just has to wait out the pain and pass them. He has had 2 surgeries already to remove some that were too big to pass. Not trying to scare you but you need to get this taken care of right away. It sometimes can have something to do with diet. Have them analyse the stones and see what is causing them. Hope this helps!!

My hub and i had a litttle bit of an issue gettin in touch with our doc/friend to get an appt. So i went to see someone else. I was not happy. The new doc was telling me that there was no need for me to be in pain. I looked at him and said do you think im lying, the er is lying or both? I said im not here for the hell of it. basically that completely turned me off. He wanted to go in for an IVP on monday... ya know i work.... i asked for a doc note to excuse me.. has had the test before and it is very painful for me considering my kidney with the stone in it is not fully functionally. I get told no. Im like wtf..... Anyways i call my hubby and im tellin him what this doc said and how i felt i was treated.... he had already called out friend on his cell and he got me an appt on monday morning. He is so good to me.. found out the nurses at the office obviously didnt give him the messages.... but im happy i will see him... he took great care of me 2 years ago when i had a stone then. I dont know how big the stone is .. the doc i saw yesterday refused to tell me... ill find that out on monday.. if anything .. ill be going in for another lithotripsy. I just cant wait for this to be over.... id rather deliver triplets naturally then go through this lol.... ty all for your concern and care... hugggs Christine
Christine,
All I can say is Ouch! I hope the Doc on monday can help you out and get you feeling better, and that your employer lightens up. I know that unfortunately, most people who know we had this surgery expect it to be a magic cure all, and that any health issues will just disappear, and we won't ever get sick... very odd ~
So take care of yourself, feel better, and hopefully it will be over quickly.
