FRIDAY'S FEEDINGS!!

Friday was a "liquids day" for me and I did well. Except....my 17yr old daughter wanted to go to lunch with me after school, so we went to Panera. I had some soup...(liquid, right?). It was yummy. I ate the whole yummy bowl. AND dipped a few bites of bread in it. Super yummy. I also ate some protein bars for my "liquid". I was out of my favorite shake mix. So, I guess Friday wasn't really a liquid day after all. So here's the damage: B - Smartforme bar S - Protein drink L - Soup with a little bread S - Protein drink D - Protein Smoothie S - Smartforme bar Cal 1104, Fat 28g, Carb 74g, Prot 131g! That's a whopping amount of protein isn't it?? Anyway, calories and carbs are a little higher than I'd like. But it could have been worse... Have a great weekend, ladies!

GOOD MORNING!!! Bad day for me... SICK still!! B- nada S- nada L- 1/4 of a pork chop and about 2 tablesppoons of pork n beans S- Nada D- 1 piece of homemade pizza, and 1/4 cup of cottage cheese. S- carrots and string cheese cal 556 fat 25 carb 51 prot 33 YUCKY!!! Not eating enough the last few days... My scale probably wont move this week. Have a good weekend! Stacey

P.S. I could NEVER DO LIQUID diet... I would get dizzy and not feel good. Nice job on the protein... Ive never gotten over 80 a day... Im usually around 60.

Well, Friday was nothing special. Just a lot of running around and acting like a taxi for the kids. Oooo...one great thing did happen...I went to Target to pick up hubby's meds and decided to look for a pair a black slacks for a dinner that my husband has to go to next Friday. So, I hit the clearance racks and found one pair for $7, down from $29. But, they were a size 8. I tried them on, and guess what? They fit...with room to spare!!!! And, to top that off...Halloween stuff is being stocked!!! It's my absolute favorite holiday...I would give up all others to get a month of Halloween if I could!! Anyway, here's the damage for Friday: B: Matrix shake...made like I always do in every other post (210c, 32p) S: 1 ISS protein wafer, chocolate mint flavor~tasted like nothing but mint (105c, 7p) L: 3 MorningStar Farms Veggies Bites, broccoli cheddar flavor (190c, 9p) S: 1 large nectarine (85c, 1p) D: 3 oz. salmon w/ chipotle sour cream sauce, 2 tbsp. brown & wild rice mix (237c, 25p) S: South Beach Diet Snack Bar Delight, chocolate raspberry flavor (100c, 5p) S: Nature Valley Roasted Nut Bar (190c, 7p) Got in 1117 calories, 86 grams protein, all vitamins, all water. And with that...I am off to drool over the new Halloween stuff in the stores!! Have a great day ladies (and gentleman, if you still lurk here, Richard). ~Suz

Just curious - do you do a liquids day often and does that help or maybe you had somthing else going on??

I just started doing liquid days this past week. Actually my hubby and I are fasting together two days a week while we are seeking God for some specific direction in our lives. Because of the nutritional needs I have post-op, I do a "liquid" fast as opposed to a full on fast (nothing bu****er). The benefits of the liquid fast as it impacts my weight loss journey are just in addition to what we are seeking spiritually. I hope that makes sense. For the weight loss aspect of the fast, my goal is to do liquid days two days per wee****il I get closer to goal. I've fallen a little bit into a habit of snacking/grazing. The liquid days really help me to get a handle on that. It seems to have helped me lose a little more this week (I'm a really slow loser), but not by leaps and bounds like some people (winking at Stephanie). FWIW, my "liquid" days don't really mean only liquid. I drink/eat at least one thick, fresh fruit, protein smoothie on my liquid days, in addition to my protein shakes. I make sure to get in at least 80g of protein, all my fluids, and all my vitamins. I never do more than a day at a time. I hope that answered your question. Margaret
