I finally got the nerve to go shopping........

Ok - so it's been months since I've been shopping and I finally have had enough of saggy pants and sloppy clothes. I had to go shopping for work today ( I'm a designer and we "shop" for inspiration) We went to J.Crew and I thought what the hey.... I'll see if I fit in their clothes. Guess What ???? I did !!! I can wear a size 14 in a REGULAR Missy clothes - no more large sizes !!!!! I was so happy. I didn't by them but at least I know that I can wear them and they looked decent. I then went to the GAP and same thing..... I fit in their clothes. Now i just have to save up some money to afford all these great clothes. It's funny, when I go into those stores I still feel like I don't belong shopping there... I wonder if that will ever change ? Does anyone else still feel that way? Marta

Marta--I definitely feel that way too. One of my dreams was to shop at Ann Taylor Loft. And now I can shop there, but I still feel like an imposter. I hope it goes away cuz I love to shop! Jen

congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!! It's an awesome feeling I know. Just like Jen though I feel like an imposter too!!

Isn't that the best? I wouldn't spend too much though- unless you're at goal- cuz you go through whole wardrobes of sizes!!! Holly

Marta, Strangely, I did the same thing this weekend lol... droopy drawers were getting sad again. Btw... grats on 14s, way to go!!! I was down to 14/16 top and 18 bottoms, and am thrilled too, but freaked out when trying to shop in a normal size store... felt like I didn't belong for sure. Eddie Bauer was better since they actually carry my newest sizes in all styles, but it was definitely weird and uncomfortable. Hope you had fun in spite of that :P and that it gets easier!
