Serious Sagging Going On!!!

Okay, I've posted this before a few months back, but now more than ever, I'm really having problems with all this saggy skin! I can't even find pants that fit me around the waste. When I do, they're too baggy because my legs are so small and my waist is still huge due to all this loose skin. Please tell me I'm not alone! I also cannot find bras that fit (aside from sports bras) because the fact is, they just don't make a 46-B! Therefore I'm extra droopy in that department too. I appreciate being healthy. I am ecstatic to lose all this weight, I really am! But geez... I can't wait til I get close to goal so that I can get a little nip/tuck. I posted pics in my gallery on my profile. WARNING: They are not pretty!!!

Hey there! I totally totally understand what you are saying. I am so self consious of the loose skin on my stomach, I think I'll need a tummy tuck just so I don't go crazy! lol! Seriously, it is a big ole pain in the butt. I've done so many sit-ups it isn't even funny. Still there!! I say next year we all get tummy tucks, k? You look beautiful and are doing great though!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, the boobs have gone south too!!

I haven't lost as much as you have- but I have the serious sagging skin too. I also have the same problems with pants- by the time they fit in the waist- they're HUGE in the butt and thighs.. I feel a little guilty complaing just because i am so happy with the loss- but WOW- my stomache is REALLY unattractive!!! I will be joining you guys for the nip/tuck... think we could get a discount? Girl I sooo feel ya on that one!! I feel like a melted candle. My belly sags so bad I can finally wear real jeans( the button and zip kind) but you can see the obvious sag. I hate it!!! My neck has a turkey waddle despite the daily application of "dramatic firming cream" and my boobs..well I dont think they qualify as boobs anymore. Plus I have side boobs too. My GYN says I may have to have my ovaries taken out. Im actually looking forward to it because he said they can cut a wedge from my abdomen and get rid of the overhang there. And because it would be a medical reason and not cosmetic surgery, my ins., which is medicaid, would pay for it. Unfortunatly my boobs and thighs will probably always be saggy cause I cant afford to fix it. But its better thatn having the 125lbs back!! Mary

Mary - I love the melted candle metaphor! My "side boobs" have actually started going away...every 5 lbs or so makes them shrink a little more. Hurrah! I'm in the process of scheduling a hysterectomy (and fearful it'll make my already slow weight loss stall even worse, but that's another post for another time) and was wondering if they might tuck a little tummy for me while they're there....do you know if your gyn will do it or if you have to have a plastic surgeon in there as well? If insurance will cover it, then I'm there.....if they won't, then I probably won't worry about it. Cathryn - Re: the bra thing - I've heard that we should go for a bra fitting when we get close to goal, that a good fitting bra (even possibly getting one made to order) works wonders. Other than that, I guess we'll all keep the plastic surgeon's in business! Margaret

Hey Margaret...actually, my gyn. said my ins., which is medicaid, would cover it if it was done at trhe same time as ovary removal because it would be considered medical and not cosmetic. I dont think he would do it himself. but a plastic surgeon, however he said it wouldnt technically be considered plastic surgery. I guess what he means is they wont do any muscle tightening, but would cut off the loose hanging skin and stretch it down to "fit"...so to speak. I dont know if I'll lose my belly button, and that would be kinda freaky. And they probably wont cover having a fake one made, but I will deal with it to have this loose flabby skin gone. Im afraid my weight loss will slow down too. And its already slow enough. Im down to only losing 4-5lbs a month and Ive got at least 100 more to go. I definatly need to go for a bra fitting. I was bra shopping the other day and got overwelmed. For so long it was hard to find a bra to go around me. Now I can, but where do I start. It all a learning experience I guess. Lord help us!! LOL
