Yep, I seem to think that I eat a lot more, but really the calories are still in range so I'm not worried...yet. Some days I am ravenous!!! Others, not so much. I did decide to start making an effort to eat like a "normal" person again...you know, a half of a sandwich now and then. I bought a loaf of Oroweat Light 100% Whole Wheat bread, the slices are thinner and smaller overall than regular bread. I can barely finish any kind of sandwich made with one slice. But, some other kinds of foods may never seem to fill me up. I think a lot of this is personal to each of us...some of us can tolerate things that another person can't...the same holds true for the "fill factor". I know you probably don't want to hear "don't worry...you're doing fine", but I am going to say it anyway!! As long as you know that you are getting the protein you need, not getting in too many empty carbs, and that your calories are on target...you are going to do fine! My only suggestion would be to go back to only dense protein for a while and lose the bread. See if your hunger level still feels the same. It is possible that the bread is just too light and is being digested too easily to satisfy your pouch.

Thanks Suzanne, Im at the point now where I could eat a whole sandwich. I dont, usually, but I can. I only eat whole wheat, but youre right, Im gonna ditch it and see if that helps. Ive had a few times where something didnt set right or I ate a bite too much and it came right up, but only about 3 times since Ive had surgery. I can handle pretty much everything Ive eaten. I know thats a good thing, but i guess I expected some kind of problem, at least a minor food issue, and so far nothing. Maybe Im just over obsessing! LOL Mary
