Now that all of us January people are 6 months out or a bit more.... How are we all handling the new found attention? I personally have had issues handling it. I can clearly see that i am no longer a size 28. When i walk through the mall or down the street and people look at me... i get very self concious. It is as if i feel like people still see me as "the fat girl" although i know i am not. The brain clearly has not caught up with me yet lol. For example, My hub and i went out.. i bought a really nice little black dress...with 2 new bra's from victoria secret... which i might add everyone needs one of their new IT Bra's... it does everything you want a bra to do and is comfy. They cost 45$ a bra but worth every penny of it... anyway.. so im wearing my IT bra and little black dress and i had men staring at me... i think mostly my boobs lol..... I wanted to crawl into a hole. I was so not used to the looks and smiles.... My hubby was loving showing me off.... but i just did not know how to handle it. Yes, a part of me loved the new found attention... but it was very overwhelming..... How do u handle the looks? The staring? Would love some input on this! Ty Christine

I bet you looked fabulous. Do you have pics??? See I am opposite of you, I am so enjoying guys looking at me and I notice it alot too! I haven't been flirted with since I was 16 (that's when I started gaining weight when I met my husband) I think each person is different though. I've read on the main board that a lot of people feel just like you do about the attention. Get used to though! : )

I bet your husband like the attention you was getting atleast mines do.I also was a attention grabber even when I had the extra weight. Before WLS my family and friends would tell me they could not tell me nothing so once i loose the weight they was end for it.I had develope a good level of confidence I decided that i was hard enough on myself and will not let anyone make me feel worst than i did.So i carried myself as such.I would go out and look just as good if not better than my slimmer friends in my clothes. My personality would attract people to me i was there to have fun not be too cute.I would say to you to work it.Just think they are liking what they see thats why they are looking and you know this YOU LOOK GOOD. Say it "I LOOK GOOD AND EVERYONE KNOWS IT"

Now that you mentioned it, people are a lot nicer to me in general now. And sometimes I notice guys staring at me at work. It's odd because I've not had guys staring at me in years! I dont care either way. (They can look, but not touch!) I guess its kinda nice to be noticed. =)
