DRASTIC HAIRCUT

Hi Everyone, I finally got my hair completely cut off today. It's pretty drastic, but I just couldn't stand it anymore. I lost lots of hair, and what was left was pretty soft & thin, and just sticking out strange. Now it can't possibly even get messed up. And I can put on my wig very easily, without having to tuck any hair under the edge. I'll put some pics on my profile. Hopefully, it will grow back in okay. If it doesn't, though, I can live with it. I'm becoming much more healthy and getting my life back.

Aahhh, Lynn....I know exactly how you feel!! My hair was falling out so fast that I really did start to wonder how I would ever make it out of this without being certifiably bald! But now after getting brave and cutting it, isn't it just a dream how fast and easy it is to do your hair everyday?? I think that since I have hacked all of mine off it may just end up staying that way for a while...even though I think that my loss has just about run it's course...only 1 hair lost this morning!!! Yay for me!! Well, I can't wait to see pics of your new do! ~Suz

Suz, I'm glad your hair loss may be done. That's great. I hope mine stops soon, and starts growing back. I'm getting used to my very short hair. I might keep it short, too, but a little longer than it is now. I love that I don't have to worry about how it looks. There's just nothing to get messed up! Hugs, Lynn

Hi Lynn, I was considering posting today about the hair issue too. I have always had long hair, but my hair loss is not slowing and it's gotten so bad that I can't wear my hair down and straight anymore because it looks horrible. I have to fix it with gel to make it faux curly or wear it up in a clip to get it to look decent. When it first started I really thought by now I'd be bald, and although I still have some hair, it's just not "pretty" anymore. My husband and I discussed getting it all whacked off, but I fear having it short will only complicate issues for me. Maybe I should try extensions or a wig until the hair loss stops and begins to grow back in.

I am having a problem with the hair coming out. How does your hair come out? On the brush or do your run your fingers through it and get tons of hair? I get some on the brush, but if I run my fingers through it, I get a lot of hair. I don't think that you can tell yet though, I have very thick hair. It's just looking thinner. I just got 2 inches cut off though.

For me it's both but more when I run my fingers through it. It can be soft as can be (not tangled) and the hair comes out by the 50's and 100's with each hand stroke. It comes out in the brush too. At night when I take my bath I come up with huge clumps as I'm shampooing or conditioning as well. It's been coming out like this for at least 2 months now and possibly 3, and I am VERY ready for it to stop.

Hey Janie: I notice mine mostly when I comb it and when I wa****!! And it is so freaky!! lol My hair stylist says she can't really tell a big difference and I am thinking she is muy loco! I go every two weeks to get it styled but lately I have noticed it seems to feel a bit healtier than it had been. So hopefully all our hair loss will stop soon!

I'm hoping it'll stop soon. I hear so many people talking about Biotin. Do you use that? I don't even know what it is! A pill or conditioner? lol!

You are hilarious!! lol I bought some biotin but I hardly ever remember to take it! lol The one I use is a tiny pill. I even have the bottle sitting on my desk but never remember to take it. I might take 2 month!
