New to this forum
Hi all,
I just wanted to pop in and introduce myself. I had my open RNY on 1/8/07 and so far I've lost 111 pounds. I've been reading and posting mostly on the RNY boards but I don't get on as often as I'd like and when I do I spend way too much time trying to catch up on all the posts. I thought maybe coming to this forum would really help me to surround myself with others who are in the same stage that I'm at. I didn't even know this was here until I found myself browsing around the site tonight.
I'm really looking forward to hearing about how everyone else is doing!
Thanks for listening!
Carrie
So glad to meet you, Carrie.
We love to have new people on the January board...keeps things lively and fresh! I had surgery 1/30 and have lost 78.7 pounds (yep...I can't help but count the tenths of a pound! )...which puts me at a little less than 30 pounds to goal.
I know what you mean about getting a little lost on the larger boards...trying to keep up with all of it, shee**** can be so overwhelming at times. Not to mention the crazy rash of bad attitude that seems to be running rampant lately. That's why I tend to stay here...venturing out to the RNY occasionally, rarely the Main board.
Sounds like you are moving along at a stellar pace...I myself am pretty steady...like Jen said. But, no complaints or complications so far (knock on wood).
I look forward to getting to know you better as the weeks roll on...we have a lot of fun and definately offer unlimited support to one another.

Welcome to the board! I also had surgery on January 8th. It just amazes me how much this surgery has changed my life. Right now I have lost 107 lbs. I now seem to average 1-2 lbs a week. Sometimes the scale just don't move, haha. Anyways, sounds like you're doing wonderful. Keep up the good work.

Hi Pam,
January 8th was a magical day, wasn't it? It's amazing how much the surgery changes our lives. My weight loss is slowing down and like you, sometimes the scale doesn't move at all. I sat in a stall for most of the month of June and boy was it frustrating!
I look forward to getting to know all of you better!
Carrie
