Before Picture

Now that I have this picture adding thing down, I added my before picture into my profile pics. I just wasn't able to look at it or deal with it before now. Whew. This was a tough one to come face to face with. Other than the doctor's picture he took, I only have this one taken the month before surgery. I can now look at it since I am not there anymore. I am not seeking compliments, but being honest with where I came from. I haven't been able to do that until now but I think it is important to acknowledge it because I have to see where I have been to see where I am going. Does that make sense? Have you guys had a hard time looking back at the before? Katy B

WOW Katy. Amazing!!! Seriously what a HUGE HUGE difference. You look like a totally different person. CONGRATS!!!!!! And yes, when I look at me preop pics I cringe that that was me. I never ever want to go back to that place, ya know?

Boy do I ever know what you mean Janie! I am working on embracing the reality of how big I really was. I just couldn't see it before. Strange. I am thinking that a copy of this on my mirror might be a good motivator. Katy

WOW! The difference in your pictures are amazing! I was hard for me to look at before pics pre wls surgery..but now I use them as motivators too. That is what helps me make it to the gym on a regular basis. I also have a pic of me before I gained all the weight and I use it as goal picture! You had had awesome results and should be so proud of your self. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Katy. It was a little tricky and took a few tries. I went to: www.videocodezone.com. I looked up the video I wanted and then copied the code into "my story" of my blog. I had to change it to "text editing" though. Let me know if you need help.

Congrats!! You look absolutely amazing! Keep up the good work... I recently just looked at my before pics... and i was just amazed. I kept one pair of my old size 28's and i put them on. I can literally fit in one leg of the pants. I am half the woman i used to be. I never thought i would ever be a normal size. It feels absolutely incredible! Surgery was the best decision i made for myself to become healthy... and it is something i will never regret... no matta how much lose skin i have lol!

Hi Katy, Wow you look amazing!! Don't be afraid to accept compliments because you have earned everyone of them. You are doing great. You don't look the same at all. I also hate to look at my before pictures and Its funny but even now when I see pictures of myself I say oh no ... I still am fat. I guess that will also take awhile to accept. I posted mine a week and 1/2 ago. My before was in the red shirt and I felt pregnant. You will be glad you kept all of the before pictures. A place where none of us EVER want to be again. Keep up the hard work. It is paying off. Hugs.. Roxanne
