not a test...don't ignore...avatar help needed

Okay, I have gotten comments from people on all the boards that i post on because I haven't updated my pics.....Lori are you listening? I had my 6 month checkup and it went great. I added pics and have them uploaded and on my profile. I clicked on the button to change my avatar and uploaded that image but it didn't change my avatar. What did I do wrong? Thanks ahead of time!
