Obstruction
I found a posting on the Texas board about bowel obstruction. I thought that you might be interested in seeing what is posted there. There is another person Butterfly Reborn who has had a lot of experience with this issue.

Hello everyone. First of all, I want to thank you all for your love, encouragement and support this past week. I am home now and feeling somewhat better, but am on a full liquid diet for a few days until I fully recover. To explain a little more about what happened, I was cramping pretty severe cramps after eating (like strong menstral cramps) but it was obviously stomach related because I had that "my guts are gonna fall out" feeling when I laid down or sat. I spent most of my weekend last weekend in a fetal position to curb the cramping. After I was admitted I was told that something I had eaten likely was the source and that the obstruction was actually a swollen pouch. My pouch was inflamed and swollen likely from something I ate or from overeating (on the 4th of July) and it was partially blocking my small bowel. From what I understand now from a few others who have had the surgery and are farther out, this is a fairly common occurence, especially if you have overeaten. In my case, I am sure it wasn't overeating at one specific sitting, but through the course of the day on the 4th, I was a bottomless pit and kept going back for nibbles. So word to the wise....stay away from nibbling or overeating As I mentioned I am home now, but am still fairly sore. I will be going in for a scope soon to get a better picture, but for now am back to life as I know it.
Again, I can't say enough how much you guys all mean to me! Thanks again for all the love and prayers!!!
