It is definitely the steroids! is there anything you can do about this? Can your doctor swich your perscription?

I'm right there with you Jennifer! And I'm not on steroids (they will definitely affect your weight loss - be sure to drink a lot of water). I do have ongoing thyroid issues....so I'm blaming my slow losses on that!

Good morning! Wow, Stephanie, you do get up early! Here's my stats: SW:272 LW:207 CW:204 I lost three pounds this week, yeehaw! For all of you who get discouraged. I know exactly how you feel but let me tell you from experience that weight loss (especially after you lost a whole bunch already) is not going to be consistent. For the past few weeks I've been teetering with a pound here and there (a week) having had a big weight loss of 4 lbs a few weeks prior. I was thinking that I'm eating too much (which I'm def not) or not exercizing enough (which I'm not...but...) and here this week to my surprise I lost 3.5 pounds. ( I didn't count the .5 to give a leg up for next week!) I get so down on myself on the weeks I hardly lose, but we gotta remember that we already lost a whole bunch in a very short amount of time and that our weight will fluctuate. Now...if only I'd take my own advice. Have a good week everyone. Happy 4th! Beth

Great post Beth! It is so ture but hard to apply when you don't lose or if you gain a pound. Thank you so much for encouraging!! And congrats on the 3 (.5) pound loss!! You go girl!

Hi Beth, I totally agree with what you said. I try not to get too upset or bothered when I "only" lose a pound or two each week. But, like you said, we have already lost such a large amount of weight in a relatively short time. I think that we sort of lose perspective. In any case, you had a great week! ~Suz
