Thanks Guinn, that does help. Its pretty comparable to what I eat so I guess Im doing ok. I guess i just expect to be stuffed on 2 or 3 bites of food. I stop eating before Im full just because in my mind it looks like alot of food for a pouch thats supposed to be 2oz. Mary

Hey Mary ..I have to be honest and say that is does sound like a lot of food when it is written out... and I have had my share of days when I type my food into fitday and think..oh my goodnesss..did I eat all that...and we I total up the calories it was not as bad as I had thought. But I also have to say that the fact that your weight loss has been steady indicates that you are doing something right! I agree with Janie and Suz that tracking the foods you eat would help you put it all in prospective. I am a plain jane eater, so when I track my food, most of the stuff is already stored for me to get the nutrional information. When you eat the frozen meals, those are easier to track cause the information is on the back of the packet. But when it is home cooked, its a little harder. I usually just type in the food that I ate and use what they have on line..for instance today my mom cooked meat loaf....so I typed in meat loaf and used what popped up already. I know it is not the exact recipe that she used, but it gives me an close indicator of the protein and calories in the food item. If I feel like what I ate adds up to more than what comes up, I usually when say I ate more than I actually ate to make up for it. The tracking does not have to be exact, but if it is close, it is a good tool to help you see how much protein, carbs, calories you are getting during the day. I also believe you have to listen to your body....If you don't eat enough food...and your body goes into starvation you will stall your weight loss that way too. So if you are hungry you should eat. Are there any support groups in near your home? My support group has a nutritionist available to answer questions like these for us too. And one last thing...I think they are now making pouches a lot bigger than the used too (or is that the old greedy me talking??) And we can eat a lot more food than ppl who had the surgery before we did. I don't get a full feeling all the time either so I started to measure my food out and try to stay within a 4 -5 oz limit for my entire meal. I definitely would encourage you to take a deep breath and reflect on your amazing results!! 107 in less than 6 months!!

Actually I had the concern about eating too much, too. I actually just seen my surgeron last week. I brought it up to him. Also I get like really hungry ever 3-4 days and I feel like I am the bottomless pit. He told me I'm ahead of the weightloss curve average, blah blah blah, all is wonderful. We discussed my eating habits, and my food choices. He told me I wasn't eating enough. To think of my body as a fire and all the food I eat as wood to keep it going. He said that I'm trying to run a big fire by throwing on some twigs and my body needs some big ol' logs. I told him I do skip breakfast because well that's too early in the morning for me, haha. He told me to do the South Beach Diet bars. I'm quite fond of the peanut butter one and the chocolate one. Both quite yummy. He said it might take me awhile to eat it, but said that it would help with the burn out feeling my body was going through with needing more "fuel". (I'm so proud because I actually understood his analogy, usually I get lost) So far, I've done it now for like 4 or 5 days and I have felt satisified....so far, lol.
