Monday Morning Weigh In
Okay...I'll start by saying that I did lose something this week, but not much. I am thankful for that single pound. But, I have been tracking my food down to the bite! I get all of my liquids in. I get all protein in and then some. I take all of my vitamins and exercise every other day. I'm not even close to goal. So, why is it going so darn slowly all of a sudden???
High/surgery: 251.5
Last Monday: 188.2
Today: 187.0
I lost 1.2 pounds this week, which brings me to 64.5 total since the start. My BMI is at 30.2, which is still in the obese catagory. Under 30.0 is overweight (I couldn't even lose enough this week to meet that!) which is one mini goal that I had for myself this week. I feel like most of you...it seems almost like anything that I am doing "right" is having no effect on my loss. It seems as though my body is deciding what it is going to do, and it doesn't care how much I try to help things along. I am just not a very happy girl this week.
Next week will be better?

Suz-
I am totally with you on this one...
I spent 6 weeks in the 160's and no matter what I did- good or bad- I barely budged!!! I had a rotten week this week and now I'm losing again?
CRAZY!!!
I think with me it was just that my body had lost so much weight that it just hung out for awhile. I guess like a plateau- but with a little loss. Could that be what's happening to you too? Even though we're not near goal- I think all this loss throws your body into shock, then it gets used to it and is willing to lose more.
Hang in there- it WILL move!!!
Dr Holly
PS- on a positive note when you changed your avatar pic thing- I had to read your bio to see if you were the same one that was in school- THAT'S how much you've changed!!!
Oh, Holly...thanks for the "positive note"...you just made my day! I have had several people do the whole double-take thing when they haven't seen me since before surgery. But, you never know if they are just being polite and telling you that there is a big difference, or if there really is that much of one. I guess with over 60 pounds gone there must be some noticable difference, right? I think that we get used to seeing how good or bad we look for so long that it doesn't register all of the time.
Just between you, me, and the lamppost....I will probably be getting my hair whacked off tomorrow...so my new avatar won't look like "me" again! I hope that I don't chicken out...it's is going to be REALLY short!! I have to find some way to disguise the hair loss until it comes back in a few months. If it really looks awful....I won't be changing the pic at all!! lol

I had a decent week...out of the 2lb club for the first time in awhile.
I am drinking protein now (even though I hate it) and trying to eat more protein in general. I made a tilapia receipe last week so I could try to force down more protein. I hate fish but I made it because I knew I needed it, and I was sooo disgusted. My hubby loved it, but to me it tasted like muddy fish.... I have no clue what I can eat that tastes decent and will be more protein but I'm trying.

Hi Everyone,
I am running late had a real busy day and just now am getting time to get on the computer. But I did weigh before my shower this morning. I never weigh after my shower because the water may stick in my pores and add weight !!
I had to add my 2 pounds worth.

Day of Surgery: 211

This Week: 157
It's starting to come off slow but I will take 2 pounds.
