Ok...so lately I have been feeling full really quick when I eat but...on the flip side...once I stop eating...I feel that my pouch is empty and I can go and eat again. I don't go and eat so I dont know if I would be able to but it sure feels like it. That is a scary feeling for me too...does this happen to any one else??

Oh yes- it happens to me too. I have to be very careful or I could be a major grazer!!! I guess that's why they are so strict on the 3 meals with only protein snacks in between!!! You're not alone... Holly

Stephanie- I also wanted to add that drinking after really makes my full feeling go away. I know you know this... but just wanted to add... Holly

How do you deal with it? Right now I just ignore it but I am thinking what is going to happen when it gets to be too much to resist??? I guess I will have to remind my self of the weight I have lost at that point and that i don't want to regain.

Ok, I have to be totally honest here, when I read on the main boards what some people are eating that are over a year out and they are still under a 1000 calories I am a bit dissapointed. I am hoping when I hit goal and I am a yr out (though now that I think about it, I don't think they are at goal???) that I can maintain say with 1200-1500 calories? Because to be honest with you staying under 1000 calories is HARD HARD HARD to me. The tool makes it tolerable. Where as before the tool there would be no way I could have done this. But it's still hard. So, to answer your question Steph, most days, I just drink lots of water and don't give in to the cravings, I try to focus on something else!!!

Janie- What you said totally strikes a chord with me. In people magazine they have been focusing an article on someone who has lost 100 lbs- of course none of them have had surgery and heaven forbid the media give surgery any positive coverage... but it lists what they eat at their new weights and I was SHOCKED. I don't think I could ever live on that little food. I ripped the page out and have hung it where I can remind myself what I think normal may be. Although- when I have a minute I am going to put their info on fiday just to see how healthy what they say they are eating is... I guess I will always have to be an active person so I better find an exercise I love!!! Holly Have you ever read that we will have toconsume 25% less calories than people who have never had the surgery? I just read that in the Goldberg book...

Oh really? so even at their desired weight normal is very little food? Can you give me an example? Yes, let me know how many calories they are consuming I'd be curious!!! Do you guys wonder how many calories we should consume once we get to our ideal weight? I do! I know everyone is going to be different though. Nope, I didn't read that about that 25 % less calories than someone who hasn't had the surgery, but it doesn't surprise me.

Hi, Well I'm glad to know I am not the only one. I recently bought a bag of those little goldfish pretzels !! I will no longer get them. I put 43 in a closed container for portion control and then 1 hour later I can eat another portion. So I have decided that this is one thing not coming back into my house. So now it is lowfat cheese sticks if I need a snack. I am so afraid of screwing this up and regaining weight it isn't funny. I think a lot of this is head hunger for me and bad habits. I try to stick with my water but I am still having a struggle wanting to look in the cupboards for something to eat. We will overcome !!!! Roxanne
