Mary- I certainly do not want to present myself as the poster child for doing things right... but I am eating WAY more than you do. Hang in there- it will come- it will... ( and I will need you to say this to me sometime as well). I have had a lot of the same feelings you mentioned and I think all are normal. Hugs to you- Holly

Thanks Holly!! I am sooo glad to hear you say that!! I constantly worry that Im eating too much. I guess I just secong guess myself so much because it took me so long to get this surgery and was just by the grace of God I was able to, so I wanna do it right and not fail. Thanks for the reassurance! I needed it!! Mary

Mary, Please don't beat yourself up. I stalled, then I gained (yes, I gained 5 back too), I started losing a little, stalled again, started losing 1 lb a week and then I kicked myself into overdrive again. Just go back to the beginning... Mostly protein (food or powder or combo) cut out the carbs, yes, the lean pockets must go, eat some veggies and drink a ton. Make sure to exercise and you will start to drop again. Someone on this board posted a Plateau Buster which I modified just a tad, but it works like a charm. Went from 1 lb a week loss to 9 lbs last week and am still losing this week... down 2 so far since Monday. So don't please don't give up! You can do this, and you are doing great. There will be ups and downs for the rest of our lives I'm told, so you're just getting the first one done early lol. Good luck and pat yourself on teh back for how far you've come. Michele

Thanks Michele, Could you send me a copy of your plateau buster? Its so hard for me to eat only meat and vegies. I love them, but every now and then ya just gotta have some bread!! I was hoping to be able to eat like a normal person, but I guess theres nothing normal about me. I cant find a powder i like, but I made some peanut butter protein balls with the powder I have. theyre good, but probaby have carbs too. I figured with as little as I eat I couldnt be getting in that many carbs, but I guess Im super carb sensitive. 9lbs in a week would be great!!! Thanks again. Mary

Hey Mary, I will post a request for someone to repost it but basically it's: 2 weeks of meat/protein only 5-6 small meals, plus protein powder supplement and all your vitamin supplements. Exercise daily for 20 min (I think).. and drink more water than usual, definitely more than your 64 ounces. That's a pretty close approximation, but let's find out how close lol! Michele
