Vitamins and medicines...which ones do you take?
I guess the title says it all
I would like to know what you all are taking still, have started taking and how you are tolerating them. As well as how often you are taking them. For those that were on medications prior which ones have you been able to eliminate?
I am only taking the Vista Vitamins and I take 4 pills in the AM and 4 in the PM. They go down really easy. I could tell a huge difference in the way I was feeling once I started taking these. I am not feeling exhausted in the middle of the day and feel like I have a lot more energy.
I am no longer taking any of the prescribed medicines although my doctor said I was supposed to be on the URSO for 6 months.

I take my vitamins and calcium in tablet form. I just wouldn't take them regularly when I had to gag down the chewables.
I take 4 Centrum multi's with iron and 4 Calcium Citrate pills daily. I also take 500 mcg of biotin, 1 Tums (for the extra calcium) and 1 Pepcid Complete daily. Once a week I take a B1 pill and once monthly I give myself a b12 injection.
I haven't had my labs done by my surgeon, but I had my physical recently with my PCP and all my levels were within normal ranges (I think).
Hi Adrianne,
I now take Viactive Calcium 2 x day
I take Viactive vitamins 2 x day
I take prilosec 1 x day
I take 2000 mg. Biotin
I tolerate these very well. I think I should try the Vista Vitamims. I am getting tired of the chewy ones.

I no longer need any of it and certainly don't miss remembering to take them. This is the greastest. My blood sugars are normal as is cholesterol and high blood pressure. And everything else. I am so glad I had this surgery. Thanks for posting.
Have a nice day. Roxanne

I used to take Zegerid (acid reflux) and I lived on advil/motrin ( always had headaches).
Now I don't take either of the above, I can't remember the last time I needed anything for a headache.

1 rx iron pill w/ 500 mg vitamin c chewable
1 centrum multi chewable
1 sublingual b - 12
2500 biotin
calcium citrate - I try for 1200 and i'm lucky if I get in 800mg.
actigall ( 2x a day) - but will stop taking after 6 months.
all the above are pills and I can tolerate them fine. the calcuim is tougher that the rest, but I can still get them down.
I had blood work done at 3 months and Dr. said all was good.
Hi Adrianne: Good Post!!
I did not take any meds before surgery...but now I take my daily calicum and multivitamin and when I can remember, I take a biotin pill (1000 mcg) and I also take 2500 b 12 sublingual weekly.
And I tolerate them all pretty good...I am just tired of chewing...but the regular pills make me sick to the stomach.
I take two Centrum chewables a day
two citrical chews a day
1 dropper GNC liquid b complex
1000 mcg biotin
meds
advair 500/50 no change
singular no change
zyrtec no change
flonase discontinued, changed to nasonex.
My drs say I have to lose more weight before they will even begin to mess with my asthma meds to see what happens.
I also use CPAP not a med but a machine for Severe Obstructive Sleep Apnea. They won't restest me again until I have lost more weight. Hope & pray I can get rid of it!!!
I am currently taking a vitamin with iron, calcium and B. I am off my glucophage like Janie and Roxanne. I ALWAYS take my B- but need to be 100% with my calcium and vitamin- but they are chewable and HUGE and I'm not particularly fond of them. I will have my first set of labs done this summer.
