Exercise Anyone???
Alright...confession time! I have not had ANY routine at all for exercise . In my defense, I am and always have been one of those wackos that park as far out in the parking lot as I can and force myself (and the family ) to walk the distance, always take the stairs...you get it. Also, I work in the yard as much as possible and have always been the one in my family who mows the lawn, trims, weeds, plants, etc. That said...I just...as of 10 minutes ago...got off of the treadmill. I walked/jogged for 1 1/2 miles at varying inclines. Then, I lifted weights for my arms for about 12 minutes...just until my arms felt like rubber...perhaps the weights are too heavy- they are my husbands. And now I am preparing to go work in the yard for a couple of hours digging and moving some dirt around. Soooo...we'll see if I can keep this up every other day. Maybe it will help? with the jiggly parts at least?
Ahhhh...I feel better now that I've fessed up .

Hi Stephanie,
I must say that I have been getting my exercise in. I have a personal trainer who is really reasonable and he works me out with weight training 4 days a week. During the week I do get in some walking, and have just started bike riding with friends in the evening. I almost feel cheated if I don't get in some form of exercise. I do have some body aches but it's all good. Don't know how I'm going to deal with the summer heat, but I'll work it out.
Hi Stephanie -
I have to say that I have stopped excercising all together. I so not happy about that. I started a new job about 2 weeks ago and my whole schedule has been changed. I leave my house by 7:30 am and get home from work about 7:30 pm. I cannot work out at work, I used to have a gym in my old job - that was great I could go on my lunch hour. By the time I get home, make dinner, collect my 3 kids from baseball, softball and what ever it's 9 pm. I'm exhuasted by then. I have to figure out when to fit it in...... I guess even if I just walked. I'm so bummed that I have basically stopped doing anything.... any suggestions ? Some times on sundays I will go to the track and walk at least a mile - but that is only one day.
Hopefully I will figure out something....
Marta
Hey Martha: I know how easy it is to get out of you routine when daily living takes so much of our free time! And I also know how hard it is to start back...boy do I know. Is there a place you can walk at work on your lunch break? We sometimes have people who walk around the parking lot on their lunch breaks to get in some exercise. Also, if you have stairs at work, use those during your lunch break sometimes and go up and down for about 20 minutes. That will definitely give you a work out! Good look with fitting in some "you" time during the week.
I am so impressed with you ladies! I have been a complete dud in the exercise department. I even bought an elliptical to make it easier for me since we live out in the sticks. I am sort of in the same boat as Holly... I have 4 kids ages 6, 4, 1, and 1 so it seems like I never make time to do it anymore since I am always caring for a herd of needy children!
Now that school is out, for me too, I need to start getting on the elliptical as soon as I put everyone in bed EVERY night, but I am just so dang tired lately.... of course, that is probably because I am not getting my cardio in! I bet I would have more energy to work out IF I WOULD WORK OUT! Ironic, huh?!
