Hi - I'm not sure what to do about this.... I answered someone on the main board about clothes in size 24. I told her that I had alot of nice clothes in 24 (alot of were Tommy Hilfiger). I sent them to her and only asked that she paid the shipping - which was $11.27. She has received the clothes weeks ago and even said she enjoyed wearing them, but has not sent me the shipping cost. I have asked her repeatedly and she keeps saying that she sent the $. I have yet to received it.Now I know that 12.00 is not going to break the bank, but I feel like I was taken advantage of. I guess I will just have to suck it up.... thanks for listening..... Marta

Hi Marta, I understand how you must feel. I just sent out two huge boxes of clothing to a lady across the country, but instead of asking for shipping costs, I simply looked at it as a gift that she could pay forward to the next person in need. And, it cost me just shy of $40 to send them! I just figured that this way was easier than relying on someone that I know nothing about. Perhaps you would feel a bit better if you look at it this way...she obviously needed the clothing and perhaps for her the $11 for shipping is more than she can bear. You just held up your end of the bargain and did your good deed for the month ! Anyway, I felt good about being able to send the clothing to someone in need... and I am in fact getting another box ready to send to her for another shipping cost of $20 . I can only hope that someday someone will be as kind to me as I have been to her. And to be fair, she always sent me a pm to thank me, as well. Even her daughter was excited because the clothes fit her also...so again-well worth the cost of shipping. I hope that you have a wonderful week ! ~Suz

I know what you mean... I had a problem with the clothing exchange recently as well. Everytime I posted something, one particular person wanted it. Sizes from 24 up to 38! I know better than to think one person is wearing that wide of a range of sizes, so my guess is, they are re-selling at a consignment store or something. That really urks me!

Hi Marta, So sorry about your problem. It is sad when people take advantage of someone else. All I can say is every time they wear these nice clothes I bet they think of you and will feel guilty. Maybe it should be reported on the main board. I belong to a freecycle group in our area and am always giving things away and recently found out two different people were selling the items on eBay. I would say you will have to chalk it up to experience and feel that maybe you helped someone out who didn't have the money to go buy anything. It stinks.. I know.. but some day you will be rewarded for being a good person. Roxanne

Has anyone tried Freecycle in their area? I hope its not against OH rules to give this type of info away. freecycle.org It's a great way to give away your big clothes to people in your area. Eve
