I have found Mootopia Brand Milk from HEB that has more protein and calcium and less sugar than regular milk, is lactose free, and tastes just like regular milk... I love it and drink it all the time or eat it with my cereal... does anyone else have any specific suggestions like this of high protein or sugar free foods that they really like and eat alot and want to share - I'm looking for some new, HEALTHY things to try!!!

I've been buying products from Bariatriceating.com and I love the Frappucino tasting protein powder called Whey Gourmet in Arctic Freeze flavor. I also purchased the Matrix chocolate one and that is pretty good also! I make all my protein shakes with 4 oz of non-fat milk and 4 oz of water, with ice (if I have it) and blend with the hand blender. If my husband makes it for me before he leaves for work he sticks it in the freezer and when I get up it is icy and frosty..yummy!! I can't get them here so my mom sent me some of the Bumble Bee Seasoned Tuna Sensations, they are 15-18 grams of protein (depending on the flavor) for just 3 ounces! I don't really eat the crackers, maybe i'll have a half of the cracker every great now and then. My kids even love these! It's light tasting, a small portion and huge on protein! From their website it appears that you can buy them in 5 oz cans withouth the crackers although I've never seen them. I bet they would great on a salad! I almost daily treat myself to a No Sugar Added all fruit popsicle from Dreyers. The boxes come with 3 different flavors and there are 3 different boxes to choose from, well at least in the states...not here They are only 30 calories! I did try the chocolate covered raisins from bariatriceating and they were really good just kind of expensive for a little snack. Okay, now I know I'm about to make myself sound like a little piggy but I have one more "regular" thing I have. I never used to like pre-made puddings but I found that Jell-O does a Sugar Free Moccachino pudding in the refigerated section. I add my ANYWHEY to it and that gives me another 17 grams of protein...in pudding, how is that!! That's all for now. There are a few other things that I've purchased, like a Thai Peanut Sauce or wanted to purchase but haven't tried yet. I am going to watch this thread, I'd love some new ideas. Take care and have a great Memorial Day! Adrianne

Hi Sharon, Well, I don't really eat anything fancy and I try to get in as much protein from "natural" foods as I can, as opposed to protein supplements. That said, I eat A LOT of shrimp...any way I can get it, except fried! For me it goes down easily and is a lean source of protein that can be cooked so many ways...a blessing since chicken and I aren't always friends now. I also eat a lot of the South Beach Diet foods. I really like the bars (all kinds and varieties) and the Kung Pow Chicken frozen meal...this is the only one I can stand even though it is chicken. Sometimes I will eat the center out of the wraps, but the wrap itself I still have trouble with so I don't bother trying anymore! My other stand-bys are Quaker Weight Control Oatmeal in Banana Bread flavor (yummmmy!!), Trader Joe's Soy Crisps in BBQ flavor, any and all flavors of sf popsicles, plain yogurt w/ frozen mixed berries and a bit of Splenda (I love this for lunch or as a sweet snack), and finally I still adore string cheese and Laughing Cow Babybel cheese as a quick protein snack. I am sure that I will think of others as soon as I post this~lol~ but these are some of the main things that keep me going day to day. ~Suz

whey protein chocolate or vanilla (i like chocolate) at wal-mart about $12.00 for large canister. mix in blender with milk or water ( i prefer milk) and a little crushed ice. i double it in morning for breakfast (i had lapband) and i have my 60 grams of protein for day. cheetos baked are good for snack. V-8 11.5 ounce equals 2 veggie servings. Flavored water orange instead of (orange juice) grape (instead of grape juice) great value brand from wal-mart. Splenda cookies for that sinful snack. sugar - fee chocolate graham cookies , shortbread or oatmeal. on the cookie isle top shelve usually. (i shop at diffeent walmarts.) sun chips salsa flavor good too with mission quac dip. those small banquet meals are only 88 cents and fill me up. that all i can think of for now. good luck.

Mmmmmm.... protein milkshakes are at the top of my list lately! I use Low Carb ice cream, ice, milk, nonfat dry milk, an extra package of Splenda. I sometimes make chocolate ones, or use vanilla ice cream and add bananas and strawberries. YUMMO!

That sounds good! I think I am too lazy to make one and just mix my protein with water. I am going to have to try that one day. Thanks for the recipe!
