Pecan Cheese Log recipe
2 packages cream cheese at room tempature
1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 cans (4 oz) chopped green chilies, drained
¼ cup dried onion flakes, softened in ¼ cup water
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 cups chopped pecans
In a large bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, chilies, softened onion flakes, garlic powder and cayenne pepper. Form into two 8 inch logs, wrap and refrigerate for about 15 minutes. Place nuts on waxed paper and roll each log in the nuts. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
