I have been struggling for a coulpe of weeks and I knew I needed to change. Sunday I went to the store and purchased my food for the week. I made five bags one for each day. I have popped them in my cooler and have enjoyed having the proper food available when I need it. Before I would wait too long to eat and not always make the proper choices. Exercising has become a bigger daily priority. In fact I went for a 3-hour hike in my canyon and after went to water aerobics with my wife. I felt so good. So yesterday after 6 days doing what I should I had dropped 12 lbs. Today I will see my surgeon with the good news. Your whole being improves after rebounding from a difficult time. The best part of this last experience was only struggling with food for about 2 weeks. Before I would have struggled for 2 months or even 2 years. I am working towards the day when I watch what I eat for a week to get back to 225lbs. Today it feels closer than ever. Outside forces can dramatically influence how you treat your insides. Recovering from down times in as short a period of time as possible will shorten the overall length of time to obtain a new healthy you. My tool for weight loss only works if I work too. The mental process of falling off and getting back on really impresses your determination and focus of the overall long-term goal.

Hi Kevin...congrats on learning how to bounce back by being more prepared and getting more active. I, too, suffer from not being more prepared with my eating sometimes...except I just choose not to eat instead of eating the wrong things. Two sides of the same coin I suppose . I do think that the mental aspects of these surgeries are often the most difficult to get a handle on. And, WOW on 12 pounds in 6 days! That is amazing!! Hugs...Suz

Hey Kevin, That is great that you are planning ahead. Sounds like exercising has really helped also. I need to get more of that in. It has been cold here in NH and we just had rain for 5 days. So hopefully when the weather warms up some I'll get outside and work in the flower beds. I get bored with the treadmill after awhile. But I know it does make a difference. We will all make it if we keep positive ! Keep up the good work. Roxanne
