I am not 3 mos. out, but there were a few at my support meeting last night that are interested in knowing what a typical portion size and diet is for the 3 mo. post op patient. So would someone take the helm and start a daily post of what they ate and the portion sizes, also protein counts and calories would be helpful to others in your time frame. It is always a good thing to pay it forward!

I have recently started journaling again and I find that I eat about three 1/2 cup portion meals, and usually 2 snacks. I consume around 900 calories a day, 50 or less carbs, and 80-100 g protein. My diet consists of a lot of meat (including jerky), plus Carb Master yogurt and protein bars. Almost all of my carbs come from fruit, of which I usually have 1-2 pieces a day. Oh, and I normally drink between 48 and 72 oz of water. Belle

Here is yesterdays Breakfast 4 oz. lowfat, no sugar raspberry yogurt 60 cals 8 oz milk with Unjury protein powder added Lunch 2 oz. low fat cheadder cheese and 2 Ritz crackers Dinner 1 egg omlette with cheese, green pepper onion, soy bacon bits and a home made bisquit with 1 tsp of I can't Believe its not butter. snack 8 oz skim milk My surgeon requires that I drink at least 16 oz of skim milk every day. This is part of the 64 oz pf fluids. I saw him Tuesday for my 3 month + one week check-up and I was told I can eat any thing that my pouch will tolerate except liquids with sugar in them and food with more than 2 or 3 grams of sugar per serving. Also to keep the total fat for the day under 25 g. Each surgeon has his/her own preference for feeding. Following what your surgen tells you. Rich

for breakfast I had half of a homemade "pizza" which I made on a low carb tortilla, with about 2 TBS ragu, some pepperonis and shredded cheese. L 1'2 cup leftover rotiseree chicken I shredded and added a little bbq sauce to. I put it on a lettuce wrap D 3/4 of a southbeach diet frozen dinner. snacks was a protein ball, a string cheese, and a few frozen grapes. ( not at the same time) I feel like I can eat alot more than most people can at 3 months, but I do measure everything and dont go over a cup, depending on what Im eating. And Ive lost 75 lbs so I guess Im doing ok. MAry
