Good morning all! Highest weight 271 Day of surgery 266 Last Week 226 This Week 224 I'm with Stephanie, 2 lbs is great. I'm trying to keep the perspective that if I'm losing ANYTHING consistantly over a months time, I'm doing better than I ever have. I still struggle that I lose slowly....my doctor's goal for my 3 month surgiversary tomorrow is to be down 58 lbs. Not going to happen. That's discouraging. But I know that I'm doing everything "right" and I know my body! I have never lost at a quick pace. My thyroid issues, and now menopausal issues definitely affect my metabolism. So I'll take a pound or two loss each week with joy! Can you hear me counseling myself??? Margaret

Hi Margaret - I think you doing great - any loss is a success. Just think if you lose 2 pounds a week for 1 year - your still going to lose 100 pounds. Keep up the good work Marta

And you are counseling me too!! lol My surgeon says that I should be down 60 pounds at my 3 month mark too...but at 2 lbs a week, i will not be there by next Wednesday. But hey...I figure if it comes off slower and I continue to work out, I will not have so much loose skin..so there is a sliver lining. My nutritonist stated that based on what I tell her, I am doing all the right things..but I may not be eating enough...go figure (never thougt I would hear that). So this week I trying to incorporate different things in my daily eating that I had not been having before. I had cereal and 2% milk for the first time yesterday..I was craving cheerios!! And it went ok. So I will see if I can squeeze a few more calories in this week and see if it makes a difference. I have been getting about 80 grams of protein a day, 80 oz of water, and less than 1000 calories on top of working out for at least 45 minutes, 4 days a week...so I am not sure what I can do to speed mine up....but 2 is still better than none!!

Hi - it looks like I joined the 2 pound club this week. I also agree - I'll take losing 2 instead of gaining 2 anyday. Highest weight- 311 Day of Surgery - 295 Last week - 245 This week - 243 ....with this last 2 pounds I hit 70 pounds lost !!!!! Hope everyone has another great week ! Marta

Hi again - I must still be sleeping...... - here are the right numbers - Highest weight- 311 Day of Surgery - 295 Last week - 243 This week - 241 Now - that adds up correctly to 70. ( I was never a fast one in math) Marta

Well, add me to the -2 pound list. EXCEPT I am not taking it as well. Granted, I am glad the scales are moving still, but this is my third week at -2 pounds. I think I need to really start working out again! I have my 3 month post-op next week and I definitely have not been hitting the -3.5 per week mark she said I should be! Good Morning everyone and happy Monday! I always look forward to checking in with you guys and see how everyone is doing. It's so encouraging. And you guys are right, as long as we aren't gaining like we used to do, we are doing something right!!!! Here's my stats: Highest Weight 238 Day of surgery 225 Last week 184 This weel 181 I am hoping and praying to get into the 170's this weeks! Have a wonderful week everyone!
