Mary- I am the SAME way- or was - I'm trying to correct that... I used to go until afternoon without eating and then the frenzy would begin.... Have you been successful in breaking that habit? I really have to work at it- almost "schedule" eating in the morning. Holly

Im still struggling with it. Im like you...trying to schedule it in. I dont like most breakfast foods and once my daughter gets on the bus at 7:30 I usually like to lay back down on the couch till about 10. I cant get motivated before then!! Then I get up, start a load of clothes or dishes, definantly get in a good glass of crystal lite. Then about noon I eat a "lunch". About 3 or 4 I'll eat another "lunch". Dinner is about 7 so around 10 I allow myself a snack and I go to bed about 1. Some days I seem hungrier than other days too. Its frustrating!! Mary

I've had some trouble with this too but have dealt with it by having a protein shake at night. It's not so much that the shake keeps me from wanting to eat, but knowing I have to have the shake at a certain time (as well as finish water for the day) keeps me from eating other stuff that might fill up my pouch. Sometimes I "schedule" some light microwave popcorn or some wheat thins with cheese. Somehow, being a slave to the schedule makes it easier for me to avoid temptation. Of course, now that I've settled that, I am having trouble with snacking in the afternoons!

I am a late night snacker, no doubt about it. I love popcorn, but I found these microwave pork rinds on bariatriceating.com. They are 4 grams of fat and 23 grams of protein per serving. They are warm and crunchy and yummy... I highly recommend them!

Belle, I recently attended a class with my NUT and she tells us that we need to eat some sort of protein within an hour of going to bed. Her reasoning is that your system will continue to work for a couple of hours to break down the protein while you are asleep, therefore, your system has less "down time" and gets off to a quicker start in the mornings. She also recommends that I eat within an hour or two of being awake to get the system going. Danielle
