Hi, I guess I never took the time to read up on OH and see that there is a Jan. Group. I am probably the oldest one here. You all look so young! I am 53 and have been married since I was 17. I am a mom to 3 grown children and 3 beautiful grandchildren. I had my surgery Jan 12 and had to have surgery again Jan 14 because I had an obstruction. This time it was an open surgery. Then I got an infection in my wound. I had a hard time but now KNOW that I would do it all over again. I am so happy. I think I am losing slower than others but will take anything. I have lost 34 since surgery and 55 since Sept. I still have a hard time getting fluids in but just keep trying. I am glad I found you all. Sorry I wrote a book on here. Roxanne

Let me be the first to say "Welcome, Roxanne"! 55 pounds lost since September is great!! How are you doing now with the surgery? I would assume pretty well since you say you are happy and would do it all over again! I look forward to seeing your posts and on Monday for "weigh ins" if you choose to participate! Hugs...Suz

Hi Roxanne!! Glad you found us!! And also glad things are working out better for you now. We all lose at different rates, but as long as we keep losing, I am not going to complain at all. Hope to see you around! And take care!

Welcome Roxanne! You're not much older than me. I'm 48 this year....we can be the grandmas of the bunch (my first grandchild turns 1 this month)! I'm sorry you've had a rough time, but am so glad you're feeling better now. 55 lbs since Sept is fantastic! Congratulations! I'm down 42 since early January, 37 since surgery. Fluids are always a struggle, aren't they? I just keep drinking drinking drinking all day long. That's the only way I can do it. Anyway, WELCOME! I'm glad you found us! Margaret 271/229/135

Hi Roxanne: Welcome to the group. And no you aren't the oldest here. That distinction probably belongs to me -- 58. Sounds like you are doing great. Fluids area problem for me too. If I can get 50 oz a day I feel great. Any less and I can tell it. It seems like all I do is drink liquids all day. Keep up the good work. Rich

Hi Roxanne, Welcome! I've posted a few times, but would like to be more active. I'm 54 and had surgery on 1/31/07. Down 33 lbs. to date. I'm losing slowly but finally able to get in a little exercise. My hubby bought me a NordicTrack recumbant cycle for my birthday and I absolutely love it. Good luck to you and everyone else. Take care!! Darlene
