Nausea
For the last week I have had these strange spells of nausea, and I just wanted to see if anyone else has this happen. I remember Cathryn saying something about "misery month" so I'm wondering if this is something that just happens naturally at this time. Not during eating, not right after a meal, but just in waves throughout the day. This is what I am experiencing... Sometimes once a day sometimes more, I'll be doing something like just walking to the car, sitting in my office working, or walking around working and I will get this really strong nauseous and dizzy feeling... I'll feel really strange (like lost for a second) and my mouth will begin to water like when you are about to it'll only last about 30 seconds or so. It's very short lived, but afterward I feel just sick to my stomach for about an hour. No real reason at the onset, that I have found, just in spurts at the weirdest times. Anyone else doing this too or am I going nuts?
(probably the later, but we won't go there...)
Lori
Hey Lori,
You know I thought that I was the only one that this was happening to. I knew that many had nausea just after surgery, and throughout recovery, but I didn't really expect it to last so long. I kept wondering why my surgeon would have prescribed Phenergan for nausea for 6 months!LOL Guess he knew what he was doing. Most of the time though, like you, it passes quickly. Drives me crazy...a couple of times I was dizzy and nauseous in Target and thought I was going to literally pass out or puke right there in the aisle!
I do think that it may have something to do with not eating often enough..it seems like anytime that happens to me I have probably gone too long without eating something. But like you said, it is too short lived to take the Phenergan all the time. I think I am going to try carrying some nuts or something to snack on to raise my blood sugar a bit when this happens...maybe see if it helps.
Hugs...Suz
