Bacon
I've seen others post that they are eating bacon- Stephanie and Guinn- I think-
I am eating the turkey bacon which I can barely tell a difference.
Stephanie- what kind are you eating?
Guinn- how's the soy bacon?
The bacon helps me to eat my eggs- if I scramble them I break up the bacon into the eggs and add some cheese and onion.
Here's the stats on the Butterball turkey bacon from WalMart-
1 slice
2.5g fat- 1 saturated
0 carbs
35 calories
2g protein
I was wondering if the other bacons have more protein- I got the turkey cuz I thought it would be better for me... what is everyone else eating?
Thanks-
Holly
I am using the bad extra fat bacon!! lol I dont like turkey bacon. I tried it before but it just did not do anything for me. They seem to have about the same amount protein in them...here is the break down from pork bacon
1 slice
3 grams fat- 2 sat fat
Cholestoral- 20 mg
Sodium 230mg
Carbs 0
Protein 2.5 g
Calories 70
I am eating regular, delicious, heavenly bacon made from good ol' pork! And, I use it pretty much the same way that you do. If you like the turkey bacon, keep with what works as there isn't a huge difference in nutritional values. Besides, in the small amounts that we can eat we are actually consuming a serving size or less. Who else on the planet can say that about eating bacon? I know I never could before surgery!!

I grew up eating soy bacon. My mom went through a vegatrian phase for like 10 years. So I like it. It doesn't taste like bacon but I think it tastes good. I use the morning star brand. It is a bit pricey though. Here are the stats:
2 slices
4.5 fat (0 saturated)
2 carbs
2 protein
60 calories
I eat regular bacon too. I buy the pre-cooked slices and I think they are great. I don't have to work about soaking the fat off with a paper towel then.
