I take optisource vitamins. They are meant for after baratric surgery. They kinda taste like orange sherbert. 2 in the morning and 2 at night. They are loaded with B-12 so I don't need any shots. My doctor said they have everything I need.

Thank you so much for sharing... I think I will try th Centrum chewables. Stephanie (and anyone not taking chewable multis)- Do you swallow them whole or break them in half? Cathryn- I have heard of the Baripak vitamins. Oh, and I was on Prevacid Rx, but my surgeon said I am ready to switch to the chewable Pepcid Completes now. BTW- I am also taking the biotin, but I have been SOOOOO bad about taking any of my pills lately. They just started grossing me out SO bad. I need to get back on it because I have my first labs since my RNY in 2 weeks! Thanks again! Belle

I am taking the following: 1500 MG Calcium a day. Was taking the Lil Critters Groovy Calcium (YUMMY), however my rheumotologist just gave me the results of my bone density test and I have to convert to Calcium with Citrate, so I am not taking Citracel the chocolate little squares. I still have to do 1500MG. She advised that due to the RNY, I need the acid to melt the Calcium so it will absorb. I couldn't stand the Calcium Citrate chewables that I bought to large bottles of. The calories on the Citracel is 35, and either 4 or 5 grams of sugar. 4 Lil Critters Gummy Vites (children's dose is 2 per day) and 2 Flintstones Sour Gummies (Adult dose is 2 per day). I am suppose to double the adult dose. Therefore, these are the equivalents. I don't mind taking these because they are YUMMY, taste exactly like gummy bears, but the Lil Critters still have a mild after taste. There are 3 Sugars and 15 calories. I am okay with the calories right now because I have had so many problems eating, I am not getting enough calories in. 2 Droppers nightly of Multi-B sublingual liquids. Wal-Mart Nature Valley or Target brand. Prevacid daily or antacid. Required for up to 6 months. Had hernia repaired, so I want to make sure this does not re-occur. I am suppose to be getting 30 mg of Iron a day. I have been slacking here. However my rheumotologist said my bloodwork was all good. So, I guess we will see what my surgeon says. I do need to get after this one again. I am at the point where I can swallow small pills okay, but I still have problems with chewed food. I haven't figured that one out. Yesterday I even had cream of potato soup and had to run to the bathroom and got sick without any help. I think I just have a lot of inflamation. I do look forward to eating a little bit more normal like everyone else instead of having to do 2-3 protien shakes a day just to get my nutrition. Lindy

I take 4 Optisource vitamins per day (available on Walgreens website). They taste better than Centrum chewables. My doc said I have to take 1 Pepcid per day for the first year. I'm also taking B1. I have to get weekly shots for 4 weeks plus take pills.

Lindy- That is awful about the food issue. I hope it gets figured out soon. I sometimes have trouble swallowing food and having it stay down, but only when I drink while I eat. It traps too much air in there and up it all comes. Mary- I have heard about the Optisource vitamins. I tried the Centrum chewables and they are better than the Flinstones. I will order the Optisource next time.
