Good Morning All: One of my co workers is scheduled to have surgery on April 3, 2007 and I wanted to make her up a little gift bag of things she can use while in the hospital and once she gets home from the hospital...I am good at coming up with thoughts..such as "wouldnt it be nice to give her a gift bag?" but not so good at the execution. Any ideas would be greatly apprecaited! Thanks and have a great day!!

Gas-X strips lol Lip balm Nice lotion Scrunchies or butterfly clips (if long hair) House shoes and/or non-skid socks A hand-held mirror I think those were my most useful items in the hospital.

Yes!! She is having RNY! And she is so nervous, she said she has not slept since Tuesday!! So I am trying to help her calm down, her mom is now in town to be with her but her mom is a worrier and that is not helping. But she is excited too. So I wanted to do do something to cheer her up a little. Thanks for the great ideas!

There are glad containers that hold exactly 1/2cup of food. When I got home I would divide my food out into them so I didn't have to measure all the time. A food scale was helpfull too because I never knew how much 4 oz of chicken was before. Now I am an expert. Refillable water bottle.

Cool!! I actually now have about 3 ppl here at work that are going to have the surgery in the next few months. It is kind of exciting. We are going to be able to have our own support group on site!! How cool is that? Thanks

What a great idea! Sippy cups, baby spoons and forks, and mouthwash for the hospital when they won't let you drink post-op (yuck!) I was also going to say the small glad containers, but I think Guinn mentioned that already. Belle
