Hello everyone, For the last two weeks I have been getting an urge like I have to go to the bathroom and it is so strong it almost makes me sick. It happens mostly in the morning but every once in a while in the evening. It is seriously getting so annoying because it makes me so sick. It hits me like diarrhea symptoms but sometimes I go and sometimes it just passes. I just need some feedback because it worries me. Am I the only one that is experiencing this and is it going to last forever? I know it is such a gross topic to bring up but it worries me. I have been very lucky I am almost 3 months out and I have not vomited once. It is very rare for something not to agree with me besides bread. Everyone I need your help!

Hi Vanessa! Yep, it's gross, but if it concerns you it's worth asking for sure. I hope I can offer you atleast a little bit of comfort. I have the same problem, and have had it fairly frequently since surgery. I usually wake up in the middle of the night/ early morning with a very strong ache in my gut almost like nausea and have to run to the potty. Sometimes the achyness will spill over into the morning hours at work. Not comfortable, but I have come to accept it as the way my body processes/ digests now. It doesn't usually last all day for me, but it is normal.

Hi Vanessa..I have not really had that happen, but maybe twice so far..and some one else was telling me it sounded a bit like a form of dumping...but I actually had to use the bathroom and I was vomitting at the same time...so it is a little different situation. It woke me up from my sleep and I could not remember what I had eaten those days, because it was several weeks later when someone mentioned it might be dumping. And I agree..nothing is too gross to bring up if it concerns you! And you will never know if someone else is going thru the same thing until you bring it up. And I willing to bet that you two are not the only one experiencing this and you may get some good tips to help make it better!! Hope it is only a temporary thing!! Hang in there!!

Sorry- can't help- my potty situation is actually much better after this surgery. After I had my gall bladder out I could no longer tolerate my Glucophage- same symptoms you have- but a lot more frequent. I have triplets in diapers- so it's not gross to me at all- we all poop!!! Sounds like dumping from what I've read...is it tied to any particular food? Holly
