weekly weigh ins

I find that being female my weight fluctuates from day to day so that I began to hate the once a week weigh in. A friend suggested using her method. Now I think I am getting a better read on my weight. What I do is weigh myself every morning at the same time and make a note of the weight then forget it. At the end of the week I total the weights and average them. I then chart them on a graph and guess what? The graph keeps dropping and dropping. So Far I have not had a week where the graph line went up! This may not work for everyone but it really helps me because I don't have to worry if my weigh in day is a day when I am blotted or swelled. At 8 weeks out from surgery I am showing a 40 pound loss (most of it was the two weeks before and after surgery) Now I am loosing 1 - 2 pounds a week and am really contented with that.

Oh that's interesting! My scaled doesn't fluctuate that much unless it's that time of the month. I might try that though. Thanks for sharing!!

I obsessively weigh-in. I had to make myself stop and start doing weekly only because the day-to-day was making me crazy. Funny thing this morning, I did weigh-in again this morning and I had lost 12 pounds overnight! NOT! I knew the scale was having some sort of fit, so I weighed again and the same thing!!! On the third time is bounce back to something more reasonable (about a half pound less than yesterdays!) Would have been nice... too bad! Sounds like I might need a new scale. Belle

Hmmm mine doesn't fluctuate that much either. I change my ticker every time I have a loss and when I do that on tickerfactory.com it has a graph and it shows me continuously going down. It's something fairly new but it sure does help you to keep things in prospective. Anna
