Just weighed in and WOW!!!

I just weighed myself, I've been trying not to obsess over the scales. I was 317 the day of surgery (January 8, 2007) and today I'm 259!!!!!! I'm in shock!! I know everyone has been saying my britches are getting saggy, now I know why!!!! Ya'll have a great evening!!! Best wishes to everybody else!! Dana

WOW, you have willpower of STEEL. I had surgery the same day as you and I weigh myself every other day. I could never wait this long. I bow to your endurance 58 pounds is AWESOME. Congrats!! Crystal

You can say WOW again! That is amazing. I don't know how you can stay off the scales all this time but you did it and you got a REAL WOW moment. Thanks for sharing it with us and keep up the great work. Darla

WOW!!! A guy that had surgery a day after me hasn't weighed yet either- I don't know how you did it!!! I am on the scale every morning. I'm at 58 lbs too and am donating bags of clothes weekly. With your kind of willpower- you will definately be successful at following protocol!!! Awesome job!!! Holly

Way to Go Dana!! That must have been so exciting for you!! I too am addicted to weighing...I did not have a scale at home before surgery...but one of my friends who lives in Mi (and I am TN) ordered me one on line as a "get well" gift!! lol So she is the culprit to my addiction..that's my story and I am sticking to it! Keep us posted on how you are doing!

Thanks to everyone for the support!! My mother had the bypass at 7:30 this morning, she's doing well so far this evening. I weighed before we went to the hospital and I'm at 60 pounds!!!!! I got into a size 22 this morning but wanted to be comfortable at the hospital so I changed, but by gosh I had them on!!!!!!!!!!! I am loving the things that have changed so far......... Dana
