Stricture back again

Well here I go again. After having my stricture dialated with a Gastroscopy procedure exactly 2 weeks ago today I was back in the hospital again today for my second gastroscopy because my stricture came back after 8 days. I went to see my surgeon in his office this morning and told him I've been vomitting and having pain in my pouch area for the last 5 days and can only do some liquids and he told me to meet him at the hospital this afternoon and he would try and dialate my stricture more this time. I told him I like him a lot but we have to stop meeting like this. I really, really hope he fixes it this time and he said "I hope so too". There was a guy laying in the hospital bed beside me complaining he hasn't eaten in 3 days and was hungry and I turned to him and said I haven't eaten in 8 1/2 weeks and I'm not hungry. LOL. I don't think he believed me, but its the truth I haven't made in on the pureed stage for more than 1 week and then I get a stricture and end up back on liquids. Keep your fingers crossed everyone that I'm am finally stricture free and ready to start enjoying this WL journey. Up to now it hasn't been too much fun. Debbie G 303/236/160

Oh Debby I'm so sorry. That must totally stink. I hope it works this time for you. I'll keep you in my prayers. You've lost over 70 pounds though. That's amazing! Is that all since surgery???

Hi Debbie!! I too will be in prayer with you that the stricture is gone for good now!! That must be awful for you. Keep us posted on how you are you doing.

Hi Debbie, I now what you are going through. I have been dialited 3 times so far. and it looks like it is almost time for another. I have not been able to eat normaly (for a bypass paitent that is). I still am very weak and my doctor says my body is starving it self. I eat about three table spoons of food all day. Well I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone it is not fun going thru this. The good thing is I have lost over 60lbs since my surgery January 16th. I went from a size 24 to a 16 in 2 months. keep strong and think positively it has helped me along. Keep in touch, Alice

I also understand what you are going through I had my stricture fixed about two weeks ago. I have been able to tolerate some foods but I still vomit sometimes, so I may have to have it done again. But the good thing is that I have lost 56 pounds. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers that all goes well.
