Does anyone still drink coffee?
I have found that since surgery I can no longer drink my coffee. It makes serious noise going down..... gurgling..... and it doesn't taste the same. What do other people drink and what would make it taste better? I'm not a big tea fan or hot chocolate.....
would love any suggestions....yes, it would be decaf coffee.
thanks -
marta
I was a coffee drinker before surgery, 2-3 cups a day and I can't tolerate it at all.
I had my first cup of coffee 2 weeks out and one sip and it just tasted awful.
I tried it again 2 more times and the taste got worse.
I may try adding something to it in the future but I'm learning to live without it.
The biggest reason is I love flavored creamers and I've been using skim milk and it just looks yucky! I should stop looking at it eh?

I can drink one cup a day and I use sugar free hazelnut cream with it. In the beginning it was hard to drink so I used 1/2 decaf. Now I have no problem. It tastes the same to me but everyone is different.
I hear ya Marta, I can no longer drink coffee and I used to love my coffee. I find I do okay with out it so oh wells. My doc says I can drink the leaded kind but I found out I was dumping on about a half cup using no dairy creamer and equal. I would only drink it at work if I got soooooo tired I couldn't stand it. Now I just get up and take a walk.

This is one of the few drinks after surgery that still tastes the same. I put sweet n low and a little creamer in it.
I don't like Crystal Lite, Tea or hardly anything bu****er and coffee. I only drink about 2 oz of coffee, if that and I am satisfied for the day. I don't even desire coffee on days that it is warm outside.
I wish that Tea didn't taste so funny to me, because I loved tea. I tried to drink about 2 oz of Coke Zero and I also tried Sprite Zero, but I thought both still tasted like a diet drink. I was a former Coke drinker like crazy...but I don't want to get into that old habit again.
