Hi Everyone..just curious and wanted to know what you guys are doing for exercising and how often. I usually do about 25 minutes on the ellyptical machine, 10 minutes as a cool on the treadmill, 10 more minutes on the stair climber (about to die by this time) and then three sets of of two different arm work out with 10 lb weights. I sometimes switch between the stationary bike and the treadmill. This week since I will be six weeks out on Wednesday, I will start doing abs and weights on the machine instead of free weights. I am doing this at least 4 days a week..so weeks and I get in 5 days. And there you have it.....

I'm doing 30 min. on the treadmill, 10 on eliptical (UGH! that's all I can do!!), and 5 on the rowing machine. I'm doing upper body weights 3 times per week, and just started ab work last week. I'm loving the exercise, but am having a really hard time getting in more than 4 days per week. Surgery definitely didn't fix the time crunch I live in!!!! Some times I wonder how I ever used to take the time to eat as much as I did!! Margaret

During a typical week. I take spinning on Monday nights and I follow that with a 20 minute resistance/weight routine. On Tuesdays I work 17 hours so I only can get in a quick walk between jobs. On Wednesday I am doing the elliptical for 60 minutes, 30 minutes on the treadmill, and some medicine ball work outs, also I try to get my 100 sit ups in. On Thursday I do the elliptical only. On Fridays I like to take a class of some sort. On Saturdays I take water aerobics just for fun. I don't really consider this a work out and I do my Wednesday routine all over again. I take Sundays off! I have had a trainer forever! I was always a big athlete! I weighed 252 and ran a 5k last year! It sounds to me like you are very much the same. I applaud all of us girls who are still out there working hard to make this surgery work for us! Keep up the good work! Too bad you don't live close we could take a class or something together!

Hey Vanessa! That would be awesome if we lived close by and could take some classes! Your works outs are much more interesting than mine..but I am hoping to get a little more variation now that I am almost six weeks post op! Water aerobics is very fun! But it is a good work out too! I hate running though!! lol Chat with you later!

I'm not doing much of anything with my foot still out of commission. I go back to the ortho doc this thursday. I plan on going swimming just finding it hard to fit in this week. I had a eye doctor appointment today and now have contacts yay!!! Wednesday is dentist and Thursday is ortho doc. So on the other days I am working over to make up the time. Hopefully next week won't be so hectic and I will be able to get some type of workout in. Anna

I wish I had a treadmill or bike. Right now I'm just jogging for a half hour and then doing floor (stomach and leg) exercises. I started out walking and moved up to jogging!!!

Looks like I definitely need to step it up! I do 30 min. treadmill 3x/week and 45 min. treadmill 2x/week. I'm gearing up to join a gym to get a trainer to help with strengthening exercises and maybe some sort of class too. Starting this week at work, they are offering tai-chi so I'll definitely try that.

Yesterday my sister-in-law gave us her BowFlex!!! I am so excited to try it. I spent the morning at the park with my 3 year old triplets and was actually able to chase them a little in the field. Holly

WOW!! I did not know you had triplets!! How cool is that?? You have to keep me posted on how the bowflex is working for you. I see the commercials and have always wondered if they do what they say.
