I am so discouraged, for a week this freakin scale has not moved. I don't eat much, I drink and I do the protein shakes, am not hungry for much else...I am just tired of it staying there. I know quitting is not an option, but I wanted to vent. I know it's gonna be over soon, I know better, but my mind is still so programmed and I had such a good weightloss for a while. Sigh..hoping it won't last to long! Gina

Hi Gina. I was stalled all last week also. My scale finally moved yesterday and I was down 3 lbs from the day before, and this morning I was down another pound. I just think of it this way, my body may be trying to keep me from losing the pounds, but sooner or later the scale will win. I think of it this way, each time it finally does go down, atleast this time I know it's permanent.

Hey Gina...I am right there with you!! I have been having a stall too....so hopefully we will start to move again soon like Lori!! Keep me posted on when you stall is over!! I think mine has bit to do with me not having regular (whispering) bowel movements too.. I am not constipated but I only go every two or three days. Keep doing what you doing a the scale will move soon!!

Gina, You know that I had the same thing at the same place where you are now. It is so frustrating! However, our bodies have to adjust to this new way of eating just like our heads do. Increase your calories where you can and continue to do all of the GREAT things you already are. During this time, I lost inches. I'm 100% you are too. Somewhere around week 4, you will start losing again! I PROMISE! You are doing this and will continue to do this (or I'll come to your house and make sure you do ). Remember too how far you've come and how much you've lost already!! Tina

Tina is right! I stalled at week two...kept losing and gaining the same 2 pounds for 3 weeks Finally, I decided I wasn't eating enough, imagine that. I was only eating twice a day. For the past 3 days I've made sure I eat 3 times a day and I've lost 3 lbs. over the weekend, the scale finally went down and stayed down! I'm just over 4 weeks, so again Tina was right about the timing and I've started losing again. Just hang in there and keep doing what you know is right! Take care, Denise

I've been on a stall for about a week and 2 days now. It really sucks... I know how you feel. We shall just trust that it gets better!

Hi Gina! I know where you are at! I was at a STALL all last week. I try not to stand on the scale too much it just makes me mad so I just stick to what I am supposed to do and I know the weight will come off. I have also heard to increase your protein and physical activity when you hit a stall.

also, if you are starting to exercise more now, you may be building muscle while you lose excess fat... and muscle weighs alot more than fat, so while you are replacing unhealthy fat with healthy muscle, that may make it seem like the scale isn't moving... when you are still thinning down and getting healthier!
