It was a stricture

I had the procedure yesterday although it was a simple procedure I feel like I have been beaten to death. My body is sore my joints ache and my throat is so sore I can hardly talk. The doctor says this will pass in a few days. I have been able to drink water again it just has to be very cold to freeze my throat. I had some Chile beans and they went down with no pain just the pain of my sore throat. I was told that I may have to have this procedure again in a couple of months not looking forward to that. I want to thank all of you for your support thru all this. I hope none of you have to go thru this it is not fun. Warmly, Alice

Janie, I was not able to eat or drink anything for 3 days. I had alot of pain well not a sharp pain but a very strong ache between my breast bone. thank you for your thoughts and prayers it is sure appreciated. Alice

Hi Alice, I'm sorry to hear you have had this problem hon. I wonder why they think you may have to have the procedure again in 2 months? In our local group, we have a patient that posts in the Oregon Board and she is going in today for the same reason you did. Our surgeons said she is the first in their over 1,500 patients to have this happen. At least they know what it is and how to fix it. Again, I'm awfully sorry you have had to go through this. I will pray that, that was the end of that for you. Darla

Hi Darla, I was told that our intestines like to contract so after being stretched it may go back if it does I have to have the procedure again to stretch it back. For all I know I may have to go thru this the rest of my life. It still is worth it to me because all of my illnesses are under control. No more high blood pressure diabetes under control, my joints don't ach anymore. Overall I am finally feeling healthy. Thank you so much for caring. Warmly, Alice
