Exercising
Hiyas Stephanie, I would definitely call your surgeons office and ask. They are all different. Mine said a month. So walking is all I am doing at the moment. It snowed last night so I won't be able to get that done either....bummer. You don't want to do anything to damage yourself so definitely check with your doc.

Hi again..my surgeon actually told me I could pretty much do what I wanted and to listen to my body. I described the ellipitical machine to him and because it does not have the moving arms, he said it was ok for me to use it. I was just curious to see what everyone else was doing. I am not using it yet, becuase it is at my job but when I get back kto work I will be using that and the treadmill instead of walking out side. Good luck to my January Family!!
Hi - at my 2 week post op I was cleared to do anything except abdominal excercises. i've been doing the excercise bike and elypitcal as well as light weights. i hope to go back to kick boxing in 2 weeks( that will be my 6 weeks visit) - I'm waiting only because you use alot of abs when doing kick boxing.

I still have pain and am too sore to even think of exercising. I am jealous. I know I am one week out but all I can do is laps around the downstairs of my house. Although I am getting like 15 a day of those in.
Hi,
Each surgeon has their own advise based on how the performed the procedure. At my 2 week post-op (which was actually at 10 days since I was experiencing irritation with my outter staples) he gave me clearance to do anything I wish but to make sure to listen to my body. If it hurts, stop and try again in a week or so.
