I'm not doing well
I have had a hard time eating although I could drink liquids fine. For the last week I have had a hard time with food and now liquids. Yesterday all I could get in was 3 oz of water that's all no food no nothing. Today I can't even drink water it hurts so bad going down the pain is very bad that I won't drink or eat anything. I contacted my surgeon and I was told that I probably have Stenosis which is when the opening from the pouch to the intestine begins to narrow apparently it happens to 5 percent of bypass patients. I know I know I had to raise my hand and say pick me pick me. Fortunately it is an easy fix they have to do and endoscopy and a balloon dilatation. It is supposed to be simple and out patient. And the good thing about this is I have been loosing weight like crazy since I have had no real food for a week. Well I will keep you posted and thanks for letting me share.
Alice
Alice, I had the same issues when I was just 3 weeks out. They put me in the hospital and did a scope. I did not have a stricture but I do have an ulcer now. I could not drink even a sip without feeling bubbles gurgle in my pouch and having an intense pain for a few minutes each sip. Until you go in try hoe peppermint tea, decaff of course. It helped me alot.
Good luck hun
