I hope everyone had a great January! I am feeling the best I have ever felt in my life! I have really discovered some great recipes. I have gotten real creative. I wanted to share some of my favorite things with all of you. I am really loving fish and turkey right now. Halibut is 42 grams of protein per filet and tilapia has 21 grams of protein for 3 oz. My favorite meal is cooked ground turkey with ricotta on it with a red sauce and melted mozzarella cheese. I layer them in a meatloaf pan and bake it. It tastes just like lasagna minus the noodles. Also I have discovered that Pure Protein bars are very very tasty! Right now I am averaging about 67 grams of protein a day. If anyone has any recipes that they would like to share I would love it! Have a fantastic day!

Wow Vanessa, you are doing awesome and thanks for the recipies that you share. How do you cook the Halibut. That is great for protein. As soon as I get to eat real food again I would like to try that. Anna

Hi Anna! I bake the halibut filets in the oven. I add a little lemon and salt and pepper and it tastes very yummy! When do you advance to regular food?

It will be another week for me. Here is another recipe. It is a taco of sorts Orange Roughy - broiled chopped green onions lettuce Low fat sour cream Tortillas You broil the orance roughy then crumble it up and put it on the tortilla and add the fixings....very yummy and I had forgot about it until you posted about the fish. When I was a nanny many years ago the parents fixed this and it was my favorite dish of theirs! Anna

Hi Vanessa, Keep up the great work! It's so exciting to hear the successes along the way. Also, thank you for the recipes. I just converted to what I call REAL FOODS 2 days ago so I'm like a sponge absorbing ideas from experienced ones like you. I wish I had some to share with you but I'm just to new to the concept for now. I know what you mean about feeling better than you have ever felt. I feel that way exactly and I'm only 13 days post op. Here's to us!!! ~cheers
