I love my cheese chips!
Put pinches of shredded cheese onto parchment paper, sprinkle with garlic powder and microwave for a minute or so until it melts. Allow to sit, cool and harden... instant crunchy chips!

This is the best decision I have ever made!

I had Lap RNY on 1/15 sp that would be 18 days
How are you feeling?
I am feeling pretty good, I get tired early in the evenings now, before I was a night owl
How are you doing getting in all your fluids, protein, food, vitamins?
I am doing good with my water but having a bit of problems not knowing how much or what to eat, I am a bit scared of dumping or puking.
What is (or was) your biggest difficulty post op?
the gas in the chest that would not move, trying to be brave enough to eat!
What is the thing that is easiest?
I have found it is easier to prepare healthy meals for my family since I have had surgery. I used to dread cooking dinner but not anymore. I have more energy to walk every morning.
Has anything been surprising/not expected?
I expected the pain and recovery to be much more painful, I stopped taking Vicodin the day I came home.
How much weight have you lost?
25 lbs

I second the book thing, I have purchased both books "Before and after living and eating well after weight loss surgery" By Susan Maria Leach as well as the "eating well after weight loss surgery" by Patt Levine and Michele bontempo-saray

Feeling pretty good but still get tired quick.
How you doing getting in all of the fluids, protein, food, vitamins?
The fluid has been a major challenge for me, but I do try and get in about 40 oz of protein a day and my doc says that cool, food I don't eat that much because I am not hungry, and all my vitamins are right on schedule.
What is (or was) your biggest difficulty post-op?
That would have to be drinking water because I loved to drink water but now it is so difficult to sip it all day instead of just gulping it down.
What is the thing that is the easiest?
Not being hungry and loosing the weight.

Nothing.
How much weight have you lost?
Went to doctor today and I have lost 31lbs since surgery.

No, I don't eat enough.

For the most part I think I have really been blessed that I haven't had any major issues and everything is good so far.I wish everyone continued success on their journey.

How are you feeling? I am feeling great!! only some slight pulling left on my incisions
How are you doing getting in all your fluids, protein, food, vitamins? So far I am getting everything in. I have to make myself do the vitamins and such. Water is a little hard for me but I love it still so thats good.
What is (or was) your biggest difficulty post op? Well I had some pain the second night because they took me off the morphine pump. The doc had it in the orders that I could have a shot every 2 hours if needed but I only needed 2. The nurse acted like I was putting her out though. I also still have an incision that is seeping still.
What is the thing that is easiest? Adjusting to the meal size. I really thought it would be hard but it isn't at all!!
Has anything been surprising/not expected? How good I feel for having just had surgery. That was so unexpected.

Hmm hard to say really I lost 22 lbs preop, but gained 11 back in the hospital so I will go with 22lbs lost pre-op and then 18lbs since I got home including the weight I gained while in the hospital. Not too shabby and I feel really great about it!!
Any recipes you want to share? Sorry other then slapping some refried beens and a tiny bit of fat free cheese on top into the microwave I don't have anything creative. Waiting to hear all the great ideas that pop up though!!!
Anything else you want to share?? My asthma is doing great and my Rhuematoid and fibro have gone into remission so I am feeling fantastic. Just getting used to my new plumbing and ready to get lots of wow moments. Oh I had one the other day. Hubby said my butt is smaller. Woooohoooo I am so ready to lose more buttage.

How are you doing getting in all your fluids, protein, food, vitamins? not too good, i had a really hard time drinking water and really do not get the 64oz in ={ as for the vitamins, in the begining i was on top of it but then i got constapated so i stopped taking them thinking it was going to help and it hasnt yet ={

What is the thing that is easiest? i do well with my walking eventhough i do get tired faster than i did before surgery...
Has anything been surprising/not expected? well i dont get that full feeling that everyone talks about, the fullness inthe chest, my abdomen becomes really heavy feeling and bloated whenever i eat anything, i told my surgeon about it he assures me that everyone is different, it just surprised me that i dont feel that

Anything else you want to share?? i was soo happy to awaken from surgery, the first person i asked for was my son.... made me look at life a whole new way

How are you feeling? I am feeling good, still tired, but getting stronger every day
How are you doing getting in all your fluids, protein, food, vitamins? I am doing ok with fluids, I could do better, Vitamins no problem, I do 3 protein shakes a day along with my little meals so thats good. No food problem so far
What is (or was) your biggest difficulty post op? In the beginning I was really mourning food when I saw my family eat. Everyday it gets easier
What is the thing that is easiest? I have had no real problems so it has all been easy
Has anything been surprising/not expected? got an unhappy pouch for no reason, got sick and the discomfort lasted 24 hours, UGH!!
How much weight have you lost? I was 295 when I started Options class, 274 day of surgery and my scale says I am 245
Any recipes you want to share? I love spicy food and my MD really restricts your diet in the beginning so I found no fat beans with hot Enchilada Sauce and cheese cooked casserole style
Anything else you want to share?? I am so thankful to be off all BP meds, off Lasix, off Potassium. Thats a lot less pills a day!!!

How many weeks/days are you post op? My surgery was 1/9, so I am 3 weeks, 3 days out.
How are you feeling? I feel great.
How are you doing getting in all your fluids, protein, food, vitamins? sometimes have trouble with fluids, but I am getting everything else in.
What is (or was) your biggest difficulty post op? HEAD HUNGER
What is the thing that is easiest? getting my protein in.
Has anything been surprising/not expected? How many times I could eat split pea soup and not get tired of it!
