My weight won't budge
I had lap band surgery on Jan 15th. I have lost about 16 pounds since Jan 10th. Problem is. My weight is staying the same now. I am eating less than 1000 calories a day. I take my protein supplement and my vitimans but I am not llosing anymore. I thought about trying some water pills and seeing if that helps. Any suggestions?
No don't take you water pills without talking to your surgeon first!!!!!!
Okay lets review what you are doing. Are you walking at all. You need to get some exercise. Are you drinking all your water. Are you getting enough protein. I would suggets upping your protein intake and you water and exercise. Hope this helps. Please talk to your doctor before taking any water pills as they could now dehydrate you....not good!!!!

I just went through this myself. I had my open RNY on the 8th of January. I lost 26 lbs quickly and soon as week 2 hit my weight wouldn't budge. It was driving me nuts because regardless of what I did it just wouldn't MOVE. This morning I weighed myself and FINALLY something happened. I lost 3 lbs. I stay give it time. It's probably just a stall. Just keep doing what your doctor told you, and it will come off.
I know how you feel I had my lap band on the 16th. I lost 20 lbs and then it just stoppped. I am having trouble getting all of my water in, i just dont like to drink all the time. i do know DO NOT take any water pills you have to remember we didnt get this way overnight so we wont get thin overnight no matter how great that sounds. maybe when we get our fist fill things will change, hang in there!
My weight stalled for a week. I lost 12 lbs. the first week then the second week, nothing not even an ounce. So I increased my walk time and my fluids and I've dropped 3lbs. in 2 days. I know its hard to get all your fluids in. Remember, it doesn't have to be jus****er. Crystal Lite, sugar free kool-aid, decaf unsweetened tea (I sweeten mine with Splenda) all count, any sugar free beverage counts toward your fluids so don't think you have to drink just plain water. I fill a 32 oz. glass with water and keep in the fridge, then fill a 9oz. cup from that until I've drank it all. The rest of my fluids comes from other beverages. You can do it, it just takes a little planning. Hope this helps!
Good luck to ya,
Denise
