The future's so bright......

I am just in total awe! My lap RNY was this past Wednesday (calling all surgery buddies!), and I don't know if things could have been better. The surgery itself was under an hour. Within 24 hours, I had sat up by myself, started walking (again, by myself), and also completely showered by myself (walked down the hall without assistance, took a shower, dried off - including standing on one foot, lifting the other, and toweling off the moisture). It was just amazing. I know that God has worked His healing. I know that this new way of life will be a challenge. I know that I have been shown showers of love in this week that I never imagined existed. I still believe that each of us must choose our own path to health. For me, this surgery was absolutely the right choice. I am excited about my future. And, for me, I just gotta wear shades! God bless you all! -R

I am so glad it all went so well for you. You did alot for yourself and that is great. I have said a positive attitude is the best going into our surgeries. Good luck on your continuing journey. Joy
