I don't want judement or critisism. I need advise and support. It was not planned...but, we will absolutely look at this as a blessing. I think I'm about 10 weeks. I'd like to talk to someone who has been where I'm at. I had routin labs drawn 2 weeks ago, and everything was perfect. I still feel great. Just a little apprehensive. THANKS!

Congrats! I am sure it will be fine. I know a few girls that had babies after WLS. Just make sure you take care of your body and don't forget the protein! Gina

Joelle, I know it will be fine. Congratulations....what an awesome gift you have been given. Continue to eat healthy and you and baby will be fine. I would post this on the main board though, as we are just now getting our surgery done. Godbless, Anna

My best friends just gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on December 28th. She is over 2 years post op but lots of women have babies after WLS surgery and do great! Just be sure to do what the dr says, get labs done regularly (probably more ultrasounds too to check growth) and make sure you're taking vitamins religously. The other issue is to be sure you're getting enough protein if you plan to nurse because low calories can affect milk production. You're going to do great! Congrats on your new baby!! Tina
