Not feeling great this morning...

I tried sleeping in bed, and that was a mistake. I have a pounding headache, and i am nauseous. I just took some pain meds. I also have a stuffy nose. Just my luck I will probably get a cold! I didnt do my breathing treatments 4 times yesterday, just 3, so I am going to try to get 4 in. I keep trying to hold off taking the pain meds, but when I feel lousy, I guess there is nothing else to do! I hope this gas pain resolves soon, I feel like I could fly around the room!

It will get better, I had problems sleeping for my first week. I tried the sofa my love seat sitting up and using a foot stool to get my feet off of the floor. Had some leakeage trying to sleep in my bed and it scared me. I aked my sister what to do, because she is two years post op. It will get better I am now 5 months post-op.

I am so sorry you are having such a rough time Jennifer. For the gas pains take gas-x strips (thank you Crystal!) and do lots of walking. Hang in there hon it will get better!! Anna

I've heard sleeping in a bed isn't an easy thing to do so soon after surgery. We rented a recliner and I slept in it last night without too much trouble. I hate sleeping on my back, and in the same position night after night, but it's do-able. I'm able to lean the back of the chair back some and kick my feet up, it's pretty comfortable all things considered lol. Can't wait until I'm able to lay in my big comfy bed again though! Hang in there, I'm sure you'll be feeling better very soon!

Anna is right, Gas-X strips are great. Also, after taking them try to walk around your house for about 10 min, I found that moved the gas out wonderfully. Small hint, you may want to wait until you are home alone. Once that gas gets moving you sound like you are walking thru an ocean of ducks. LOL!! I haven't had the sleeping in bed problem, I am able to roll half way onto my right side, but I definitely have to have on my binder or else it feels too weird. I woke up last night with a pounding headache too. I found that I was not drinking enough water. So at midnight last night I was downing water (as quickly as possible) and felt better after a few min. Also, if it is tension related, I am a fan of the Tylenol Go tabs in Speramint. Fix your headache and give you minty breath. Hugs Crystal 5 days post op -8lbs
