I am 10 days away from surgery and it is time to sit down and get a shopping list together. We are in the middle of more snow and freezing temperatures so the longer that I wait the more difficult it is going to be. The biggest problem I have is that I am not sure what all I need to get to be prepared. Does anyone have any suggestions that worked well for them or what they have been told by their surgeon? The only thing that I have purchased so far was a loofah on a stick. Thanks for your input.

Ha, great idea. I had my surgery on Monday and have been home for 24 hours. Here is what I have needed. Crystal Light No Sugar Added Pudding Pops Sugar Free popsicles Decaf black tea unsweetended applesauce sugar free/fat free instant pudding Lactaid milk (some are lactose intolerant) Jello sugar free snack packs. Also, I noticed that I have been getting the hiccups, and they are intense and hurt really bad. Try using your incentive spirometer when you get them and breathe really deep 3-4 times. It stops my hiccups in thier tracks. GL Crystal (still trying to cope)

Hey Walmart has their version of Crystal Light and it's really yummy and about half the price! I would get Low Sodium Broth SF Jello Your Protein Powder I also purchased some 1 oz portion cups, as that's what my doc said what I can eat at one time. How about some MISO soup? I don't know aobut the Loofah ona stick, but I am not a fan of those, they are breeding grounds for germs...so i stay away from them.. Gina
