Yay! I got my surgery date yesterday, and the date is . . . Jan 22nd!!

I can't wait, I was so happy when they called me yesterday to tell me. But now it is starting to hit me, that I have never been to the hospital for anything like this before, plus this is an unfamiliar hospital, so now I am starting to get anxious. Its only about a week and a half away, and I have to get all of my classes in!!! But I know it will all be ok. Good luck to anyone else who has an upcoming surgery!! Helen H. in Yorktown, VA.

Congrats on getting your date! I'm just a few days ahead of you on the 19th and it is just now really sinking in with me too. The hardest part for me will be being away from my children for two days, I've never been away from them overnight. Good luck to you! Denise in Monticello, AR
