Uhm personal ? ladies, that TOM

Ok I'm having surgery on Monday, I just started my period today. Anyone else going to be on theirs when they have surgery or have? I guess it'll be like when I had my c sections with my kids, but I'm gonna hate this

Unfortunately, I will probably have mine about surgery time as well. I should start the Monday before surgery, so the day I'm scheduled should be the heaviest. I'm hoping that I will be early, but a girl can only hope so much! I would make sure to take your own pads since the ones at the hospital are HUGE, and they probably won't want you using tampons. I was praying for mine to start early and I was lucky it did. I thought for sure I would have it next week. Good luck and I am sure there wont be any problems.

I'm sorry about that but at least by the time Monday roll around you should be coming off hopefully. I started mine on Monday and my surgery isn't until the 25th of this month so I made it safely. Wheeeewwwwwww Pearl

You should ask your doctor. It is doubtful they will have you wearing underwear during surgery.

Ugh. I'm peri-menopausal, so mine come and go at will. I haven't had one since November, and am anticipating it arriving post-op. It'll likely be a doozy as well. Blech.

i will be on my period as well the nurse just said the wear a pad to the hospital then when you are out of surgery you are to wear a pad only and not a tampon... well here is the deal ... i don't know about all of you but a catheter and having your period... thats going to be harder to deal with than the recovery itself lol good luck Brooke
