brand new to the message boards
This is my very first time posting. I have been reading the boards for about a year now. I go tomorrow for my pre-surgical class and my appt with my surgeon. I believe my surgery date is either the 23rd or 24th. I'm so ready to do this and a little nervous at the same time. Everyone says its so drastic a step, but I feel I am ready to face it. Please tell me if this is normal. Thanks!!
I went yesterday and got a definite date of January 23rd. I am having Lap RNY. I felt really good after meeting some people yesterday who are having surgery the same date as me. We all attended 2 classes together. Now I will see some familiar faces in the hospital. I also met a girl who had this same procedure 3 months ago and has already lost 60 pounds. She was very helpful answering questions about the hospital stay and what to expect, etc. Thanks so much for responding. Hope to talk with you again. Kristi
Thank you so much for responding. I got the official word yesterday that my surgery is on the 23rd. I was able to meet some people who are having surgery the same day as me. We all attended 2 classes together. It will be nice seeing some familiar faces in the hospital. I also met another girl who had the same as me (Lap RNY) 3 months ago. She was very helpful and informative about what to expect and the hospital stay, etc. She has done wonderful. Already lost 60 lbs. Thanks again for replying. Hope to talk again soon. Kristi
